Optimal wastewater neutralization for our MAALS/MAASS exhaust air scrubbers

The AWN type wastewater neutralization unit can be integrated as an additional element into the exhaust system's substructure. It serves to neutralize acidic and/or alkaline wastewater from the scrubber or laboratory area.

How wastewater neutralization works: The AWN type neutralization system operates on a batch principle. Its capacity of up to 600 l/h is suitable for laboratory use. Wastewater is collected in the integrated collection tank and, once the required fill level is reached, transferred to the neutralization tank . Subsequently, alkali or acid is periodically added, with continuous pH monitoring and circulation according to the set final pH value.

The wastewater neutralization collection tank can be refilled even during the neutralization process , virtually eliminating waiting times during ongoing laboratory operations. Once the set final pH value is reached, the neutralized medium is pumped into the wastewater system via a 3-way motorized ball valve.
